Bikes give Freedom to Physically Challenged Kids 3/29/08
On Saturday March 29, Leap Beyond Therapy will host a free bike day for children and teens with physical challenges. The children will experience the fun, fitness benefits, and freedom of riding Freedom Concepts adaptive bikes. Leap Beyond Therapy, a pediatric fitness and physical therapy center located in Beech Acres Park, is a distributor for Winnipeg-based Freedom Concepts Adaptive Mobility Devices. “Every child should be able to ride a bike, says Co-Founder Ruth Grant-Bailey, “With these bikes, children with special needs experience independent movement, and it’s beautiful to see. The Bike Day is 12:30-2:30pm rain or shine, and Leap Beyond Therapy is requesting that people call 513/232-5327 for a specific bike assessment and fitting appointment, but all are welcome and the event is free.
