This is a personal plea for your help from Joseph Jones. I have determined not to sit idly by while a young girl and her family suffers. Tori’s mother, Jessica, works with my wife Amanda at Standard Textile and is in tremendous need of our help.
This is the story of Tori Meier. In 1999 Tori was diagnosed with Epilepsy. When the illness became uncontrollable a medical procedure was performed in an attempt to isolate and control the area of Tori’s brain which doctors believed was causing the episodes. Upon attempting to localize they discovered a brain tumor which they could not remove due to its location. Tori was subsequently placed on medication to control the seizures which ultimately did not work.
Doctors determined that removal of the brain tumor was a must in order to save Tori’s life. During the procedure it was discovered that Tori had cancer. Daily chemotherapy and radiation treatments are currently being utilized to cure the challenge and this of course has been devastating to the family. Tori’s mother has found it necessary to now work part-time in order to be with Tori while she is going through treatments and being home schooled.
As if the medical condition of Tori weren’t placing enough strain on the family they are about to loose their home. Jessica’s medical insurance did not cover the cost of chemotherapy and Jessica was left with no choice but to pay out of pocket for the treatment. The financial burden coupled with her reduction of work hours has done insurmountable damage to the families finances.
IT’S TIME TO HELP ONE OF OUR OWN! This family is in immediate need of financial assistance and anything you can do is greatly appreciated.
