“Nickels” for Nickie

Four years ago, our sister Nicole, was diagnosed with Arnold Chiari, a condition where her brainstem is elongated into her spinal canal. She is now a single mother with a 3 year old daughter. Her condition worsened to the point where surgery was required immediately. Her surgery was performed on August 27, 2008. Due to the surgery, stay in the hospital and recovery time, Nickie was forced to quit her job. This caused financial problems, which caused her to file bankruptcy and lose her home. Unfortunately due to complications after her original surgery, Nickie was readmitted on September 14, 2008, had another surgery on September 17, 2008 which led to another hospital stay and more recovery time. Nickie’s funds are very limited and therefore we are trying to raise money for her to offset the high costs of surgery and medical bills incurred due to this condition.
